My name is Sadie and this site is published via a blogging platform called Blogger, which I think is owned by Google.

I am interested in subtitles, captions, text formatting, automation, etc. As far as programming goes, I do some work in python, Java, JavaScript.

In regards to voice-to-text technology, I feel both challenged by the automation of voice transcription, since I personally enjoy the process of doing it manually, and appreciative that it hypothetically allows for more people's speech and video to be made more accessible to more people.

So though I am not critical towards automation, I do have some nostalgia around it and I get sometimes overwhelmed with how fast some things seem to move. I try to understand who benefits and who is compromised when work and processes (in general) are automated in the world as I understand it.
